After completing his training as a certified chef, Klaus gained experience in prestigious establishments both in Germany and abroad. Yet his true passion lay in something more elemental: cooking outdoors over an open flame, using premium cuts of meat, and embracing the beauty of simplicity.

He rose to international recognition as a BBQ champion, winning competitions across Europe and the United States. He led workshops around the world and became known for his precision, exceptional taste, and unmatched eye for detail.

For over 15 years, Klaus Wachter has lived and worked on the island of Mallorca, fully devoted to his passion: outdoor cooking in all its forms. With his company, FIRST BBQ HOUSE, he designs and delivers custom outdoor kitchens, garden kitchens, and BBQ installations at the highest level of craftsmanship.

Thanks to his decades of experience, FIRST BBQ HOUSE offers personalized, knowledgeable, and hands-on service. From the first consultation to final installation, Klaus and his team guide each client through the entire process. They collaborate closely with landscape designers, stonemasons, architects, contractors, and carpenters to create truly livable outdoor spaces—infused with style, function, and quality.

Fire, Flavor, and the Art of Outdoor Living

Klaus Wachter was born in 1954 in Munich, into a family where cooking had been a heartfelt tradition for generations. From a young age, he stood at the stove—learning the art of seasoning from his mother and the craftsmanship of working with meat from his father, a butcher. His path was clear early on: he was destined to be a chef with heart and soul.
